I decided to be an egg donor after a friend of mine did it. At first I went through a clinic where it was totally anonymous -- I hated it. The place made me feel as if I were a specimen as opposed to a woman helping another couple.

That's when I made the choice to be matched through an agency. I have since done one successful donation =) And, not only that, but this was a semi-open arrangement. The mom-to-be and I have formed a "friendship". We email weekly she is allowing me the amazing gift of being a silent partner in this experiance for them. She sends me the ultrasound pictures, lets me know all their carriers levels, sent me countless family photos and most of all I get to know LITERALLY what this egg donation and I have done for their life. I feel as if I am the one who has been blessed...

I know the moment my kids were born was the best day of my life and now I am helping other woman have that day. I feel it was part of my destiny to be able to share myself like this and plan to do it again. I wish everyone the best of luck and especially to L & R who are expecting their baby in February of 2006!
