Lisa's Story

My name is Lisa. I'll be 40 y/o in just a few months. I haven't been pregnant in twenty years! I've had multiple surgeries, did just about every treatment there is. I have no children yet! I've tried just about every procedure there is and nothing has happened. I do know that my RH factor is negative but that has nothing to do with me conceiving. It's when I do concieve that the RH factor has to be addressed.

I'm the only one out of eight children who has not one! My husband is very healthy and he's a twin. He has three children from a previous marriage. The doctors don't understand why I'm not concieving. My weight is ideal, I eat healthy foods, exercise in moderation and cry often in prayer. I struggle with depression. I no longer take anti-depressants. I just deal with my pain.

Well, unfortunately, my doctor has informed me that I am getting too old. He says my eggs are old and that my chances are very slim. I do not accept this claim. I have heard that Chinese herbal treatment is good and gets results. Although I'm a little concerned, I think I'm gonna try it.

I've been doing some reading about this and came across a well known doctor, who specializes in this chinese herbal treatment. She has a book in the stores (The Infertility Cure: The Ancient Chinese Wellness Program) and her name is Randine Lewis. I also read on the web that she does fertility retreats. In doing my study, I have read several stories of women concieving after only three months of treatments. These treatments include acupuncture (I'm not sure about being stuck with thin needles) and some type of natural herbs with a well planned diet and exercise.

Has anyone heard or tried this? I'm a little afraid but am willing to try something else. I really want to have a child/children with my husband. He desires to have a daughter that looks just like me :) That's so sweet! According to this type of treatment, they also deal with the depression to help you get back into a good state of mind.
