Annie's Story
Posted Dec 1, 2007
I will start by saying I'm 25 years old,
married and have three great kids - one girl and two
boys. They are my life, I love them to bits. I can't
think of my life without them. This is why I decided
to become an egg
donor.
I had my first egg recovery yesterday.
It all went well - the reason I chose to become a donor
is because the love and joy I have day- in, day-out
from my kids is great and the thought of a lady not
having that makes me really sad. I decided tgat if I
can help her, why not?
I don't know much about the lady - only
her age - and to me that's good. I have asked the clinic
to let me know when she has a baby or babies just so
I'll know I have done what I set out to do and that
is to give someone the gift of life.
I can't say how I will feel in 18 years
when they find me because I don't know. For now, if
I were to get letter of thanks from the lady it would
be nice because then I'd know I'm appreciated...
I love the thought of what I have done and I will carry
that with me for the rest of my life. I just hope that
now the lady who received the ova is as lucky as I was
and has a baby the first time around - I would like
to wish the best of luck both to her and to her partner!
